Maiatani is an area of Ymatryl, the water realm of DelusionsMUCK. Carinah and Chrysoval were its first explorers and have since become its guardians. Perhaps its most remarkable feature is its climate, weather that changes with the day and the season.

Maiatani Village, or "the village" as it is commonly known, is the hub of social activity in Maiatani. Its renowned Inn is a popular meeting-place as well as home to many residents and travelers. The village also contains a library, a temple, botanical gardens, a playground, as well as a small neighbourhood of cottages and shops. From the village docks, the ferry runs once an hour between the village and Braedyl Isle.

Braedyl Isle is a natural island off the coast of the village, and thus became a perfect setting for the well-known artists' colony, Gratia Artis. Most of the small island is occupied by the immense mansion constructed for this purpose, but there is a small stretch of beach and a pub for guests to enjoy.

Some say the Great Forest, named Rhyx Forest after the unique trees found only there, was the original territory of Maiatani. Some say the village was founded first. And some just smile and keep silent, as they know that here, both wilderness and civilization have always coexisted peacefully. The forest is home to many people who enjoy the peace and quiet of the country, and the mostly undeveloped north side of the Suv River.

Tucked away between the forest and the village is an oasis of ageless beauty. It was established as a colony for the Elven population of this world; only Elves have settled there, although they are very welcoming to visitors. A visit to Tel'Quessir is not complete without a game in the inimitable Hide-and-Seek Garden, which is even more fun than it sounds!
